I am starting a thread where I post news articles that I find pretty interesting and want to share. If I find more stories in future this is where I will post it. I think it would be great to read other news I am not aware of posted by other people on the forums. I will be posting stories that come out on the day I make a post so it shouldn't be common knowledge like the earthquake in Port Au Prince.

PS Criticism is always welcome, but I ask that they be about the stories and not about the poster. For example: if you didn't agree with the poster's opinion on what an interesting story is or that you felt the poster's sources were unreliable. News should always be taken with a grain of salt, no matter where it comes from, and posting responses like that would also only be inflammatory and counterproductive to what news is, which is sharing information.

The idea behind this thread was to post news stories that I personally wanted to share with the rest of the forum. If all I did was edit the first post it wouldn't be made aware to everyone that I put up a new story, which would defeat the purpose of it in the first place.
